Serve-Ag Founder Buz Green has made an extraordinarily generous gift to the University of Tasmania to establish the (LR) Buz Green AM Scholarship in Agricultural Science.
The scholarship, which has been endowed in perpetuity, will provide $5,000 per year for up to four years, to a student undertaking an undergraduate qualification in agricultural science at the University of Tasmania.
It will give preference to applicants from rural areas, and those who demonstrate an interest in agriculture and financial need.
The first good rainfall that traditionally triggers the southern cropping season is known as the autumn break. We usually expect it by around Anzac Day, but for the past few years the skies have refused to open.
