Farm Mapping
Accurate farm maps are a valuable tool for primary producers seeking to maximise returns.
Serve-Ag can arrange to have accurate farm maps produced through Agricultural Resource Management which can be used to assist in property management and farm planning.
Aerial photography is used as the base to farm mapping. To correct errors associated with the flying of this photography, camera lens distoritions and topography, a detailed dGPS survey is conducted on farm. Accurate survey information is collected and combined with contour data to produce a 'corrected' ortho-rectified aerial image of the farm. From here unlimited layers of farm information can be included on the map eg. paddocks, irrigation systems, roads, buildings etc. Exact areas of paddocks are determined and maps printed, from black and white handouts through to colour laminated posters.
